Everest region is Nepals most well-known area for trekking and is still attracting an increasing amount of tourists every year. Solukhumbu, the district which is housing Evererest region, is the home of one of Nepals most famous ethnic groups, the Sherpa people. The Sherpas are known for their friendliness and their ability to live in high altitude. They are often the ones who climb Everest time after other and you will meet them on many trekking trail, and often also have them as your trekking staff.
