Overview
A trek in the area of Gaurishankar, a beautiful mountain 7134 meters tall. We walk across the districts of Dolakha and Rolwaling to get to one of Nepals largest glacial lakes, Tsho Rolpa. This is a beautiful unexplored area of Nepal where very few people have ever reached. After reaching Tsho Rolpa we walk back the same way.
There is also an option to continue eastwards until reaching the most popular trail in Nepal, Everest Base camp route and Lukla from where we fly back to Kathmandu. That trek is called Rolwaling trek and is a hard but rewarding one!

Day 2: Sightseeing and preparation for the trek
After breakfast we will start a sightseeing tour to some of the historical attractions inside Kathmandu valley. It is not possible to visit all the attraction sites in one day so we will choose a few places to visit.
In the afternoon we will make sure that you have all the necessary equipments needed for the trek. You will also get some more information about the trek.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Charikot
Travel by jeep Bolero to Charikot, around 9 hours (due to road construction). Check in at the most wonderful resort in Dolakha district, the Charikot Panorama Resort. Have a good dinner and stay for the night.
Day 4: Drive to Chechet, trek to Simigaon/ 3 hrs drive/ 4 hrs walk
Drive from Charikot to Chechet (1524m.), 3hrs. Start the hiking from Chechet up to Simigaon, 2020m. This is a very steep hike straight uphill. We stay up on top of the ridge where the gumba and the school is, there are 2 lodges and the views are great as you can see mountain Gauri Shanker from here.
Day 5: Trek to Surmuche, Kalche and Dogang/ 7 hrs walk
The hiking is not as steep as the first day but the uphill can drag a little bit to Dogang, 2800m. From Simigaon it is about 3 hrs to Surmuche and then another 2-3 hrs to Kalche. From Kalche to Dogang it is about 30 minutes.
The lodge is right at the Rolwaling river with a very nice area around it and the owner is very nice.
Day 6: Trek to Beding/ 6 hours walk
From Dogang to Beding the route goes up again where we reach Beding at 3700m. Beding is quite a big settlement with hotels and guesthouses. This day is probably the easiest and the views are amazing.
Day 7: Trek to Na/ About 4 hours walk (depending on how well you handle altitude)
This is a short days climb from 3700 to 4100 meters. Beautiful views while walking through the Rolwaling Valley.
Day 8: Trek up to Tsho Rolpa- Na- Beding/ 7 hrs walk
From Na to Tsho Rolpa Lake it takes around 2-3hrs as we hike up to 4550m and them again back to Na. We leave the bags in Na and bring only small day bags. When back in Na we have some food, pick up bags and trek back to Beding.
Day 9: Trek to Dogang/ 5 hrs walk
Today we come back down just the same way as we went up, and we again stop in Dogang.
Day 10: Trek to Simigaon. Drive to Charikot/ 6 hrs walk/ 3 hrs drive
Today is the last day of the trek and the car will meet us in Simigaon and drop us in Charikot. We again check in at the Panorama Resort and rest, have a good shower and some really tasty food!

Today we start off early and make the drive back to the capital city Kathmandu.
We check in at the hotel and maybe enjoy a western dinner after long time.
