Overview
The Langtang Trek takes you through the Langtang Valley, located to the north of Kathmandu. The trek offers stunning views of the Langtang Himalayas and takes you through traditional Nepalese villages and lush forests.
Short Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu.
- Day 2: Kathmandu city walk.
- Day 3: Drive to Gatlang.
- Day 4: Drive to Hydropower. Trek to Lama Hotel.
- Day 5: Trek to Langtang.
- Day 6: Trek to Kyanjing gumba.
- Day 7: Trek to Tsergo Ri (5033 m.) and back to Kyanjing.
- Day 8: Trek to Lama Hotel.
- Day 9: Walk to Hydropower. Drive to Nuwakot.
- Day 10: Nuwakot sightseeing. Drive back to Kathmandu.
- Day 11: Sightseeing in Bhaktapur’s Old city and Pashupatinath temple.
- Day 12: Departure.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu.
Arrival Kathmandu. Transfer to Boudha. A walk in Boudha and welcome dinner with stupa view.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing
Kathmandu city walk from Thamel tourist area, crossing Aasan local market, to the Palace Square of Kathmandu. Possibility to buy needed trekking gear.
Day 3: Drive to Gatlang, 9 hours.
Drive to Gatlang, 9 hours. Gatlang is a wonderful traditional village especially known for textile application work on the womens very particular hats. We stay in a simple teahouse.
Day 4: Drive to Hydropower. Trek to Lama Hotel.
Drive to Hydropower, 1 hour. Trek to Lama Hotel, 7 hours walk.
Day 5: Trek to Langtang.
Trek to Langtang, 7-8 hours walk.
Day 6: Trek to Kyanjing gumba.
Trek to Kyanjing gumba, 3-4 hours.
Day 7: Hike to Tsergo Ri (5033 m.).
Hike to Tsergo Ri (5033 m.) and back to Kyanjing, 10-12 hours.
Day 8: Trek to Lama Hotel.
Trek to Lama Hotel, 7-8 hours
Day 9: Trek to Hydropower. Drive to Nuwakot.
Trek to Hydropower, 5-6 hours. Drive to Nuwakot, 5 hours.
Day 10: Nuwakot sightseeing. Drive to Kathmandu.
Morning sightseeing in Nuwakot to see the old palace. After lunch we travel back to Boudha, Kathmandu, 4 hours.
Day 11: Bhaktapur Old city and Pashupatinath sightseeing.
Sightseeing in Bhaktapur’s Old city, and Hindu temple complex Pashupatinath.
Day 12: Departure.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
